This is my go-to tinted moisturizer and has been for years. My last two bottles have been very watery. Even shaking it first does not help. Has the formula changed?

We did update the formula in the Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free Blurred Matte SPF 30 in early 2025.
Some water based oil free products feature "heavier" ingredients like iron oxides or titanium dioxide that when the bottle sits, these heavier mineral ingredients are pulled down to the bottom. This can be fixed with a quick shake to blend. This is perfectly normal and does not affect the efficacy of your product in any way!

I’m really impressed with the Laura Mercier Blur Matte makeup! It gives beautiful coverage while still feeling incredibly lightweight on my skin. It blends nicely, looks smooth and natural, and doesn’t feel or look heavy at all. I especially love that it gives me the coverage I want without that cakey, overly made-up look. Definitely a new favorite!
This is a great, tinted moisturizer that is oil free. With a combination oily/normal skin type, this formula always looks nice even at the end of the day. A plus is it is SPF 30. I put it on when I'm going to the lake just to have projection on my face and it has not let me down.
I was happy with the results but then the solution started to separate. Oil and water base started to become runny

This is a really good tinted moisturizer even for us who are over 65. The bad news is they reduced the ounces and the price went up since my last purchase. I’ll have to find something else to like just as much.
I have used this product for years. It has gone through some changes over time. the original formula was
my favorite. The next formulation was not as good ... found there was separation of chemicals and has to shape the tube before using. Recently, I found the current tube is creamier and stays emulsified. Not sure
if any changes occurred in formulation but this seems much better than previous tubes.
I have been using this tinted moisturizer for years. I blend it with concealer and it gives me the coverage I need for my sensitive skin.
I used the Laura Mercier dewy tinted moisturizer for a year and loved it! Saw this matte version at Sephora and tried it. I noticed it’s super liquidy and seems to separate. Almost how oil does in water. I thought I possibly got an old product, but reading reviews, this seems to have happened to others. I recommend the dewy version over this.
