Works Well With

High pigment, high performance, hydrating foundation creates a flawless, radiant canvas that lasts up to 12 hours. Makeup artists love how this award-winning formula feels comfortable on skin while hiding even hard-to-cover imperfections—and how natural it looks for selfies, photos, video, and special events as well as for everyday wear.

Moisturizing, long-wearing formula designed for normal to dry skin. Smooths skin texture and visibly evens skin tone. Colour-true pigments virtually disappear on skin for smooth, even application and blending.

Medium to Full coverage—Laura's fullest coverage.
Natural Luminous finish.

Ideal for normal to dry skin types. (If your skin is on the oily side, try Silk Crème Oil Free.)

Oil-free. Non-comedogenic. Dermatologist-tested.

Shake well, then dispense a small amount onto the back of your hand and apply to face with Laura’s Egg-Shaped Sponge or fingertips. For best results, use after your preferred Laura Mercier Foundation Primer.

PRO TIP

For the most flawless, natural look, Laura says it's key to avoid over-applying foundation to the middle of the face—where too much formula can accentuate lines and other imperfections. With liquid, crème, or powder, she recommends starting at the outer portion of the face and working inward towards the nose. Focus on one area at a time and be sure to blend well. Avoid excess application around eyes or the contours of the face. Repeat application until desired coverage is achieved.

Remember, use Foundation to even out your skin tone. Use Concealer to camouflage imperfections.

Very creamy, long lasting, and hydrating foundation

5

The reviews of this foundation are so extreme, however, I really love it. It beat many other higher-priced foundations and become my #1 go-to foundation. Even though it has full coverage, but it still looks like my skin. BTW, I have combination skin, but I don't feel it is greasy at all. I don't even need to set the makeup during winter time, and it looks great on me. However, for the first-time purchaser, I do recommend you go to the counter and find your perfect shape with the help of the professional makeup artist.

Bambo Beige?

If I used Bamboo Beige in the former Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, what shade would best match me in the new formula Silk Creme Moisturizing Photo Edition? Thanks!

Very disappointing

1

I have used this foundation for 6 months and I will never buy it again; it's very concentrated, goes on way too thick and I was definitely not sold the correct color as it turns yellowish after a couple of hours. I've tried some other LM foundations with less success. I do really like the primers and concealers.

Not happy with quality

1

So I used to use the older silk creme foundation that was a thicker consistancy years ago and I remember loving it. I moved on from it because in the summer I wanted something lighter and then I began experimenting with other products. It's been about 4 years now. I came back to Laura Mercier looking for that same thick nice consistency and was told from the sales lady that this was better and new and improved. When I went home to try the product I found that the cream was more liquid like rather than a cream consistency and when I put it on my face (with the Laura mercier primer) It came on very grainy and did not stick to my face smoothly. I had to rub certain parts of my face to make things blend better. Overall I was really not happy with the new formula as it did not blend well on my face nor did it go on smoothly.

I spent years raving, raving, raving about this product: the old formula that is- recommended to MANY friends.... the new formula- I just cannot do the same. I have moved on to a different brand and will remain there until I see "original formula" available again!!!! Why oh why must you companies do this to your loyal customers????

Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Foundation

5

Please bring back the former Creme Smooth Foundation. It was great! Had a luminous glow and lasted all day. It also was a full coverage foundation. I loved it!!! I can't find any other foundation which offers the same. I tried all your new foundations and don't like them. They are very disappointing! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE BRING BACK the Creme Smooth Foundation. Hope to see it in the stores. Thank you!

I was choswn cream ivory but it looks like I need a color just a tad bit darker but I believe the next shade was too orange the lady told me. Any suggestions?

Amamda

Thanks---Jennifer Varnado I had the same exact issue with the Cream Ivory color being too light and the next one up being too orange/yellow. I found that the Ecru color worked the best for my skin tone without being too orange/yellow and was darker.

jdelaneint

I have been using the cashew beige but it is slightly darker & has a little too much orange undertone. I went to Nordstrom today and was recommended Sand Beige. I just tried it & its too light! Any idea what would I should try?

Cari

Cari, Please give customer service a call at 1888-637-2437. Give them a description of your skin tone and your skin's undertone. With that information, they will be able to match you with the correct Silk Crème Moisturizing foundation shade.

DD

I have medium color skin. Which color is better cashew beige or medium Ivory ??

Kimmy56

Kimmy56, if you are medium with warm undertones Silk Crème Moisturizing foundation shade Medium Ivory would be better for you. If you are medium with neutral and slightly warm undertones then Silk Crème Moisturizing Foundation Cashew Beige will be better for you. To better assist you with your perfect shade match we recommend you give our Customer Service Team a call at 1888-637-2437 or visit a Laura Mercier counter near you. Can you recommend one of your foundations for women over 40 (I'm 47)? I think it would need to be thicker to cover flaws as well as evening out skin tones? Thank you, Tammy

Mom

Mom from Minnesota, Laura Mercier foundations can be worn by any age group. If you are wanting a full coverage foundation we recommend the Silk Crème Foundations. Silk Crème Foundations feels comfortable on skin while hiding hard to cover imperfections. Silk Crème Foundations visibly evens skin tone and offers Laura's fullest coverage with a natural luminous finish it lasts up to 12 hours. Laura Mercier has Silk Crème Foundation Moisturizing which is ideal for normal to dry skin types and Silk Crème Foundation Oil Free for normal to oily skin types.

Hi, I have a very fair/pale skin tone. I usually use 'porcelain' in Bobbi brown but would like to switch to Laura Mercier silk creme moisturising photo edition for more coverage. I have normal/dry skin. My question is, which colour should I buy? (I prefer not to use foundation with a pink tone)

cmmcd15

cmmcd15, We have three Silk Crème Moisturizing Foundation shade for very fair or fair skin tones. Selecting a shade will depend on your skin undertone. If you have a pink, red are cool undertone we recommend Silk Crème Moisturizing Foundation shade, Rose Ivory. If you have neutral undertones we recommend the shade Cream Ivory. If you have yellow with warm undertones we recommend Ivory. We are not familiar with other brands foundation shades and how they would match up to our foundation shades. Despite what customer service say, no, those shades are not for very fair or fair skin. They are not pale shades by any means.

Chris

Can you help me buy a Shade, I wear number 3 in charlotte tilbury light wonder and N2 in Mac Studio face and body, I don't like heavy heavy coverage, my problem with them is the glide off my face in no time and cause patchy powdery look while it's disappearing. Recommend a primer also and a powder and concealer if possible. I've heard great things about Laura mercies and would love to try it. Ivhe dark brown hair, hazel eyes, warm tone to skin, red patches on skin in later years not sure if blockages from make up or aging reasons. I have combination skin, oily at nose can be dry/dehydrated on cheeks that's why it slides off

Noto

Hi - I am not sure what shade you would need. I used to wear a blush ivory in Laura Mercier, but I have found the Trish McEvoy Fair is a closer match for me. I could not find a color match in any Laura mercier foundations that really works for my skin color; they all seem too yellow or tan for me. However, I have very fair skin, blond, blue eyes. I also have red patches, but mine is rosacea. I have tried Trish McEvoy tinted moisturizer and two different foundations and love them all. I have no problem with the products being heavy, or gliding off my face. I do prefer Laura Mercier eye shadows and setting powder, and Charlotte Tilbury mascara and powder pencil (Sophia or Audrey) for eyes. Sent from my iPad

Does this foundation replace la creme foundation in the jar? If not, please advise which foundation is. Have inquired twice before about this. Thank you.

Mar

Mar, Silk Crème Moisturizing foundation did not replace the Crème Smooth foundations or the Moisture Supreme Foundations. However, the Silk Crème Moisturizing foundations are a great alternative foundation for the two discontinued foundations.

DD

Hi I am shade buff in your candle glow foundation, what shade would I be in silk crepe moisturising foundation? Many thanks Lizzie

Lizzieuk

Lizzieuk, Your Silk Crème Moisturizing foundation match will be Sand Beige.
