I stopped using power when I reached 50, it just didn't work with my skin. I told the make up artist who sold me this - she insisted it was fabulous. Well I left Bergdorf's looking great - but the at home results are horrible. Emphasizes even tiny wrinkles, sits on top of foundation, you look like a ghost with even with barely any. Thinking the make up artist didn't have any on the brush. Packaging is terrible, once you've opened it it gets all over the place and becomes impossible to close, the plastic lids and container grate against the silica powder and you can never get it properly open or closed again.Makes a sound like nails on a chalkboard when you try to open or close.

Pros

  • Lightweight

Cons

Comments about Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder:

I was excited to try this product but unfortunately I will be returning it. I think it would work for daytime but night a good setting powder for nighttime where photos that require flash need to be taken. I tried for the first time on a bachelorette and had to go over with foundation powder because the LM loose powder showed up really bad with flash. Too bad.

Only Thing It's Good for Is Erasing Oil

    About Me Brand Buyer

    Pros

    • Controls Shine
    • Easy To Apply
    • Long-Lasting
    • Silky Finish

    Cons

    • Cakes Up
    • Clings to Dry Spots
    • Poor Coverage
    • Settles In Creases

    Best Uses

    • Oily Skin

Comments about Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder:

It's good for controlling oil, I'll give you that. I have oily skin all over my face--not just my t-zone, and by the end of the day my face has a nice demi-matte or luminous finish depending on how long I've worn my makeup. However, this product makes my foundation and concealer cake, and often settles into my under eye fine lines. Worst of all, though, this clings to my dry spots and accentuates any dryness you have, so if you have any dry spots or dry skin, I don't reccomend you get this. I have oily skin, and on days where I have a lot of dry patches, my skin may feel soft but the powder feels like it's sucking the life out of my skin.

Comments about Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder:

I received a sample of this powder with my order and I could not believe my eyes when I applied this powder. It does not look like you are wearing any powder yet you set your tinted moisturizer or foundation. I will definitely purchase this powder. Laura, this is an excellent product, thank you!

It is invisable. Skin looks flawless. Heavenly product, just about $10 too much in cost since you will use it up faster than other powders.

Must use it with a fan brush to truly see the best results.

Comments about Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder:

I first tried this powder from a sample I received that I thought was fantastic. It sets your foundation for the entire day! It is very lightweight and leaves your face smooth. It also goes on well under eyes to set concealer. Best face powder I have used, and a little goes a long way, this container should last a long time.

    My Favorite Powder

    By

    from Fort Wayne, IN

Comments about Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder:

I was originally turned onto Laura Mercier's products through this powder and I have used it for years now. It is lightweight and doesn't feel like you have a layer of powder sitting on your face. It blends out any fine lines created by your foundation beautifully. It also takes care of any oily areas that I get throughout the day. It doesn't add any extra color to your face and a little powder goes a long way! It is always in my makeup bag!

How do you get the sifter lid off this powder
Asked on 5/26/2017 by Abbie from undisclosed

      1 answer

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

Abbie, The Invisible Loose Setting Powder is designed so the lid won't come off. To get the product out of the container remove the cap and then pull the white tab to remove the protective clear plastic seal covering the small holes in the top of the container.

Please I would like to know the diference between the invisible loose powder vs the translucent loose powder?
What is the best for combination to dry skyn?
      Thanks
Asked on 2/3/2017 by Paty from Brazil

      • A:

The translucent loose powder is talc based, whereas the invisible loose powder is talc free.
I shy away from talc so I have not compared the two on my dry skin.

        Hello, I would recommend the
invisible loose powder, I have combination skin and I love it. My daughter actually took it for me she has dry skin and this is the only thing that has worked for her. I need to order some more for myself.
        Works great on dry skin.

When the powder sets it makes my foundation flaky and dry. Is there a products I can use to prevent this? If not am I able to return it. I have only used it once.
Asked on 1/25/2017 by Hailee from Des Moines,Iowa

      1 answer

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

Hailee, when your foundation starts to flake and feel dry after you have applied Invisible Loose Setting Powder you have applied too much of the powder. You should lightly dust your face with the Invisible Loose Setting Powder. Here are some application tips.
Start by sprinkling a little powder onto a clean flat surface like the top of the powder lid. Dip your powder brush or sponge into the powder, picking up only a small amount. A little goes a long way. Gently apply to skin in a light sweeping motion. For return or exchange of your Invisible Loose Setting Powder, you would need to contact the retailer where you made your purchase and inquire about their return and exchange policies

Why use this invisible loose powder rather than the Translucent? What is the difference? Why one as opposed to the other? Thank you.
Asked on 12/31/2016 by Beverly from Beaufort, NC

      1 answer

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

Beverly, The Invisible Loose Setting Powder is an oil free setting powder that is better suited for individuals with oily skin. The Translucent Loose Setting Powder is a sheer silky setting powder that sets makeup to prolong wear. Both setting powders set your makeup and help with the appearances of fine lines and imperfections.

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

Carmina, keeping your Invisible Loose Setting Powder in a cool dry place will prevent your powder from becoming lumpy. Because moisture can get into your powder when stored in a damp humid area such as the bathroom we recommend removing your powder once you are done applying it and make sure to cap your Invisible Loose Setting Powder tightly after every use.
