Alexis Comforti, based in New Jersey, has been working in the industry for over eight years and has been with Laura Mercier since 2001.
Alexis realized her flair for cosmetics and fashion during her eight year career as a child model. Her passion for cosmetics grew exponentially during her time at the Artistic Academy where she studied makeup.
Her work has been seen on local New Jersey televisions and recently she has worked with several celebrities including Rita Moreno for the Katie Couric's Charity Event for Colon Cancer, Molly Sims, Leighton Meester and Jade Jagger.
Alexis' work can also be seen on the runways of such shows as Pamella Roland and Shoshanna during Fashion Week 2007 in New York and Pamella Roland during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2008. She also created the looks for Laura Mercier fall 2007 collections. Alexis has been quoted in many magazines including Elle Korea. Most recently, she created looks for a Pamella Roland beauty shoot with photographer Nigle Barker.
As Alexis started out in the makeup industry, she learned many tips and tricks from great artists who helped coach and educate her into the skilled, experienced artist she is today.
