Oil-free. Non-comedogenic. Dermatologist-tested.
Shake well, then dispense a small amount onto the back of your hand and apply to face with Laura’s Egg-Shaped Sponge or fingertips. For best results, use after your preferred Laura Mercier Foundation Primer.
For the most flawless, natural look, Laura says it's key to avoid over-applying foundation to the middle of the face—where too much formula can accentuate lines and other imperfections. With liquid, crème, or powder, she recommends starting at the outer portion of the face and working inward towards the nose. Focus on one area at a time and be sure to blend well. Avoid excess application around eyes or the contours of the face. Repeat application until desired coverage is achieved.
Remember, use Foundation to even out your skin tone. Use Concealer to camouflage imperfections.

Yes, this is different from the Original, but I think it's a beautiful foundation, and I was a lover of the old silk creme. This one is more natural-looking. It can't really be compared to the old one, but it's just a nice and in fact, I find it more realistic looking. I understand why people loved the old one, however. The old one was very economical because you could hardly use any, get coverage, and a tube lasted a long, long time. This formula does not last as long because you do need to use more for full coverage. But I still love the new one and would buy it again. It was easy to find a color match, although it has a completely different name than the original silk creme I used (peach ivory) and I use a different color in the new oil free formula than in this formula! Don't know exactly why the colors can't be more consistent across the board. The same color in this formula was either lighter or darker than in the oil - free version. But, I was able to find my match, and again, I think this is a great new foundation too.

I have bought both of these formulas--the Photo Edition Regular and the Photo Edition Oil-Free-neither of these works and/or compares in the least to the old Silk Crème Formula. If all/most of your customers are telling you that this new "formulation" is a huge fail and you fail to acknowledge and bring back the old formula--I plan to not purchase ANY LM product again. Not trying to be threatening here--but the old formulation/foundation was an absolute JOY to use and the "FOUNDATION" of my entire make-up routine. This new formula is drying-not radiant, not luminous--just completely blahhhhh. Hope YOU LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS-if not-then that shows you don't care about them--and I will have to find another BRAND.

NEW PRODUCT ???

MOISTURE SUPREME FOUNDATION WAS GREAT. USED IT FOR MANY YEARS. WHY DID YOU STOP MAKING IT. SOMETIMES YOU PEOPLE OUT SMART YOUR SELFS.
Pretty poor and expensive foundation!
I was suggested Ivory, and it's yellow on my face. This was to have been a substitute for the Warm Ivory in the Smooth Cream in the jar that you've discontinued (according to the shops) but coming up as 'sold out' on here. Why do you do these things? Not very impressed with the company as it seems from these reviews you don't listen!

Please bring back the old formula for dry skin!
from North Jersey
About Me Classic Style
I loved the old formula in the glass jar for dry skin. I have sensitive skin and redness around my nose, mouth which does not look good with concealer. The new one does not cover and is greasy. It seems to be gone an hour later. Plus it is slightly irritating - the smell reminds me of stage greasepaint. Also there is no more of my beloved Sunny Beige color - I have purchased two colors and none is as good. I have used the old version for 5 wedding parties all of whom looked incredible and I have encouraged many converts to the old formula. Very sad! Don't know where to start looking for a replacement as I have been a dedicated Laura girl for more than 10 years now.

Best Foundation I've Ever Used - New Favorite!
from Riverton, UT
I almost didn't try this foundation because of the negative reviews but I'm so glad I did! Admittedly, I never used the "old formulation" (which must have been liquid gold) but the new formulation is great. It has great coverage for my old acne scars while not completely hiding my freckles and still feels lightweight and doesn't make me feel like I'm wearing a mask. I don't have any problems with it causing breakouts and it works for my very sensitive skin. Also, the color happens to match my skin tone perfectly. I saw a recommendation to apply it with a Beauty Blender sponge and I second that. If you've never used this foundation before, give it a try, I bet you'll love it.

I would not buy again
from Houston, Texas
I started using Laura Mercier in 2001 and never looked back. Since they have changed their formula I have been unhappy with the product. They also made the tube smaller but still charge the same price. I am in the process of finding a new brand.

BRing back the old formula! I
from Pittsburgh pa
I used the old formula for 15 years. I was so shocked when I went to get more and it was replaced. I bought the new formula and it's not anything like the old. They ruined a good thing! I will no longer buy Laura Mercier. I will be going with Bobby Brown.

Need to bring old formula back
from Delray beach Florida
I used the old silk foundation formula for 8 years and loved it. It had great coverage and my skin looked flawless. I hate the new formula. Little coverage and color not the same. Why would you change something so good. Won't be purchasing any Laura Mercier products again unless old formula is brought back.

Miss the Old Formula
from Boston, MA
About Me Brand Buyer
I used the old formula of this product for years. It was my holy grail foundation. When they switched the formula, I was extremely disappointed. It did not even compare to the old formula. The old formula was flawless. It gave me confidence, made my skin flawless, regardless of any breakout, and was my go-to product. I recommended this to everyone and they all fell in love with it as well. I hope one day they decide to bring back the old formula so that I can have the product back that made me feel the most beautiful!
